Cherokee Sound
ExploreCherokee Sound
Surrounded by water on three sides, Cherokee Sound is a small fishing village with quaint clap board homes and narrow streets. It is located just across the bay from Casuarina Point. Home to the longest wooden dock in the Bahamas, appropriately named, “The Long Dock”. It’s a quiet walkable community that has a small, well stocked grocery store located within the village. A gas station, library, school and several churches add to the community spirit. Well known by flyfishing enthusiasts who fish for the Bonefish in the Sound. Rarely do properties become available in this well-loved community. Nearby, Yellowood offers homes and vacant land for sale.
